Becoming a Member
We invite everyone who wishes to worship here to make this church your spiritual home.
You are welcome to participate in services, activities and programs. You will receive our parish communications and in the fabric of our faith community.
In return, we have several expectations:
Public worship and personal prayer are the focus and building blocks of our community life; we hope they will be so for you.
Ministry is serving God and others; it is also an important avenue for spiritual growth. We urge all parishioners to be involved in at least one ministry (either inside or outside the congregation).
Contributing financially to the life and work of the parish is the responsibility of all our members. We ask our parishioners to make a pledge of time, talent and treasure in the fall as we plan for the year ahead.
We also invite and strongly urge all adults to make a formal affiliation with the Episcopal Church, either by Confirmation or Reception into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop. In the Diocese of Newark being an Episcopalian either by Confirmation or Reception is required for service as a parish Warden, or Deputy to Diocesan Convention.

SacramentsBaptism is the sacramental start of Christian life. If you have not been baptized, you are invited to meet with the clergy to explore this important faith commitment. Infants, children, and adults may all be baptized in the Episcopal Church.
Communion (the Eucharist, the Lord's Supper) is open to all baptized persons, regardless of their age. All Saints' offers a Communion Instruction class for children in Grade 2 or older as part of their Christian education and formation. Confirmation is the rite in which people make a mature affirmation of their faith, claiming for themselves the promises their parents and godparents made for them in Baptism. Confirmation is celebrated by the Bishop of the diocese, usually at the Cathedral in Newark. Becoming an Episcopalian Adults formally join the Episcopal Church by Confirmation or by being Received by the Bishop if they have already been Confirmed in some other denomination. Youth Confirmation classes and Adult Inquirers classes are offered by the parish clergy. Letter of Transfer If you have been a member of another congregation, please request a Letter of Transfer from your previous church. This Letter should contain the dates of your Baptism and Confirmation (as they apply). This can be arranged through the parish office. |
