Dear Friends in Christ,
Welcome back from summer! Here is some information about our fall schedule, as well as the Rummage Sale, and Hurricane Harvey Releif. Thank you to everyone who kept the parish life and worship going during the staff summer vacations. We look forward to seeing everyone soon! ~ VGM+

You bring your best potluck - a side dish, a salad, or a dessert.
This year, Sunday School classes PreK-Grade 5 will meet in the Undercroft at 10 am before all children join their families in Church at the Peace.

HURRICANE RELIEF
Right now the agencies that are on the front lines of storm and flood relief in the Houston area need funds more than anything else because they are not able to receive, store, and distribute material donations. Episcopal Relief and Development is a great organization that works with local people on the ground. All monies received go directly to relief efforts; Charity Star Navigator gives ERD a 4-star rating. Here is the link to make an on-line donation: http://www.episcopalrelief.org/hurricane-harvey-response

STEWARDSHIP
Summer Pledges/Contributions During the summer many folks have been traveling and away from church on Sunday. Now would be a good time to get caught up on your pledges, as our expenses have continued throughout the summer. Every little bit helps. Thank you so much!

CHRISTIAN PRACTICES
The Collect for Labor Day
Almighty God, you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good; and, as we seek a proper return for our own labor, make us mindful of the rightful aspirations of other workers, and arouse our concern for those who are out of work; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. ~ Book of Common Prayer
Blessings, Vicki+
