This Sunday is Trinity Sunday. The 8 am service returns to using the Rite I form of the Eucharist, and there is a Family Service at 10 am (with a children’s pageant – see note below). There are a number of events and programs coming up in the next six weeks that may interest you, even as you begin to travel or spend time at the shore on weekends. Please take time to look over the announcements and see if there is anything that speaks to you. Summer is a wonderful time to stop and reflect on the goodness and abundance of God, in all the ways that abundance comes to us.

Kids’ Trinity Tableau – this Sunday, June 3 at 10 am. All children of the parish are invited to participate in this end-of-program year pageant – we need your smiling faces! Come for the rehearsal Sunday at 9 am – there is room for everyone, no lines to learn – just wear a green shirt!
Sunday School and Youth Ministry Meeting for Parents and Teachers – Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30 pm in the Rath House. We’ll review the past year’s successes and challenges and do some planning for the fall. Please sign the sheet in the narthex to let us know you can attend.
Parish Picnic - Sunday, June 10, 12 noon at the home of Tim and Barbara Erday, 1 William Penn Road in Warren. This is a fun event for the whole family. Wear your picnic clothes to Church. Plan to bring a salad, side dish or dessert. We’ll provide hamburgers, hot dogs, rolls and soft drinks. Bring your swimsuit and a towel, also, in case you want to cool off in the pool. Sign up on the sheet in the Narthex or reply to this e-mail so we’ll know to expect you. See you there!
Christian Arts Camp – June 25-29, 9 am to noon, for kids age 4-Grade 4. Cost is $40 per child. The theme of the week will be Noah’s Ark. Music, drama, arts & crafts, games, snacks, worship and fun! Middle school, high school and adult helpers are needed. Registration forms are available in the Narthex. Invite your friends and spread the word!
Sing Hymns! Send Choristers to Choir Camp! On Sunday, June 24 @ 4 pm we'll have a Hymn Sing. Come and sing all your old favorites. We'll take requests. The event is open to all, and a free-will offering will be taken to help underwrite the cost of sending two of our Junior Choir members to the Royal School of Church Music week-long Summer Course in Wilkes Barre, PA. Besides having fun, our choristers will boost their music and leadership skills. When they return to choir in the fall, their strengthened skills will be shared with the whole choir.
Picnic & Praise/Summer Mid-Week Worship – Away on summer weekends? Need a mid-week faith boost? Come for a simple, outdoor service of Eucharist on Wednesday nights! Bring a picnic supper to the Parish House lawn at 6 pm (if you like), we’ll supply cold drinks. The service starts at 7 pm and lasts 30 minutes. This will start on June 27 and run through the end of July.
Women’s Book Group – Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30 pm in the Rath House. This month’s book is A Land More Kind Than Home, by Wiley Cash. Come for a fun evening of fellowship and discussion (Note to those at the last Book Group meeting: this is a different book than we had decided on; that book was only released to the public May 25!).
Summer Discussion Group – Join us for a discussion of the book Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives by Richard Swenson, M.D. From Dr. Swenson’s bio: “He currently is a full-time futurist, physician-researcher, author, and educator (faculty of University of Wisconsin in Family Medicine). As a physician, his focus is cultural medicine, researching the intersection of health and culture. As a futurist, his emphasis is fourfold: the future of the world system, western culture, faith, and healthcare.”
Dr. Swenson will be the keynoter at a retreat at the Convent of St. John Baptist in October sponsored by the Conover parishes (of which All Saints’ is a member). Whether or not you are able to participate in the Discussion Group, the book will be helpful to you. You can sign up for the book and/or the group on the sheet in the Narthex. The group will meet on Wed. July 11 & 18 @ 7:45 pm in the Rath House.
